Eni Hidayati

Eni Hidayati was born and raised in Sumbawa Island, Indonesia. She loves mangrove, seagrass and the coral reefs. She is a supporter of youth empowerment. To continue supporting and encouraging young generation, she also works as a lecturer at Forestry Study Programme, University of Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia.

She holds a Bachelor Degree in Forestry from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia and two Master’s Degrees: Master of Science from the State University of New York, USA (supported by the Fulbright Scholarship, P.E.O International Peace Scholarship Funds, SUNY-ESF Full Tuition Award) and Master of Philosophy in Conservation Leadership from the University of Cambridge, UK (supported by the Mirriam Rothschild Fellowship). She is currently undertaking her PhD at the Australian National University (supported by the Australia Awards Scholarship) exploring regulatory frameworks, climate finance and gender mainstreaming nexus in mangrove restoration in Indonesia.
